What We Believe
Every woman is created with dignity, purpose, and worth.
More Precious Than Rubies is founded on faith and rooted in compassion. Our name comes from Proverbs 31, which describes a woman of strength and dignity — worth “far more than rubies.” We believe that is true of every woman who comes to the Village, no matter what she has survived or how the world has treated her. That conviction is the reason we exist.
Our Christian faith is what moves us to do this work — to build safe homes, to sit with women in their hardest seasons, and to refuse to give up on a single person. We believe restoration is possible, that hope is real, and that God’s love becomes tangible when a hurting woman is finally given a safe place to heal and rebuild.
Faith is our motivation — never a requirement.
The Village serves women and children of every religion, background, and belief. Faith is never a condition of admission, and no one is turned away on account of what she believes. Prayer, pastoral care, and spiritual support are offered freely to anyone who wants them, and are never a condition of receiving help. A woman does not have to share our faith to be fully welcomed, respected, and served here. Everyone is met with the same dignity, exactly as they are.

To our partners and funders: our faith is what compels us to serve with excellence, transparency, and love — and we welcome and serve without regard to religion or belief, and we publish our outcomes openly. Admission to the Village is decided by written eligibility criteria adopted by our Board and applied by program staff.
