Give
Gifts to this campaign fund the creation of safe housing and support for women and children rebuilding their lives. Online giving is open, and every gift is applied to the Phase 1 work described below.
More Precious Than Rubies Women’s Independence Village, Inc. is a Florida nonprofit corporation. It is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3), EIN 42-4472231. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our exemption is effective August 6, 2026, so gifts made on or after that date qualify. Please consult your tax advisor.
Where Your Gift Goes
Phase 1 of the campaign is Pre-Development, budgeted at $175,000. Gifts will be applied to the Phase 1 work as a whole: the appraisals and surveys, environmental and geotechnical testing, master site planning, civil engineering, architectural concepts, zoning and entitlement analysis, legal and closing costs, the deposit that secures site control, and the accounting, insurance and campaign support required to run the project responsibly. Individual gifts are not assigned to individual line items.
Giving
Phase 1 of the Women’s Independence Village covers the appraisals, surveys, engineering, zoning work and site control that have to come before a single home is built.

Use of Gifts
Unless a gift is designated in writing by the donor and accepted in writing by More Precious Than Rubies Women’s Independence Village, Inc., all contributions are unrestricted and become the property of the organization, to be applied where the Board of Directors determines the need is greatest in furtherance of our charitable mission.
Giving levels and named opportunities shown on this site are illustrative examples of what a gift makes possible. They describe our work; they do not restrict the use of any contribution.
If the organization accepts a gift for a designated purpose and that purpose later becomes impractical, impossible, or inconsistent with our charitable mission, the Board of Directors may apply the gift to a purpose as near as possible to the donor’s original intent.
Our Commitment to Accountability
Every gift entrusted to More Precious Than Rubies is a promise, and we take that seriously. We are committed to transparent, responsible stewardship of every dollar:
- Gifts fund the creation and operation of safe housing and wraparound support for women and children rebuilding after domestic abuse.
- Our Board of Directors oversees budgets, financial controls, and how funds are spent.
- We are committed to operating responsibly and sustainably, and we will publish our financial information and annual reports as the organization grows.
- We are a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 42-4472231), determined by the IRS on August 27, 2026 and classified as a publicly supported organization under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). Gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law, and a nonprofit transparency profile will be added here.
