Impact
Our Goal
From crisis to lasting independence.
To help women and children move from domestic abuse and housing instability toward safety, healing, and lasting independence — and to prove it with evidence. We measure success by outcomes, not activity.
What We Measure
Seven domains that, together, define a woman’s path to independence — and what we’ll track for each.
Housing Stability
Safe, stable housing maintained throughout each resident’s stay — the foundation everything else is built on. Source: case-management records.
Employment
Movement into real, sustaining work or advanced training by the time a resident leaves. Source: employment verification.
Education
Adult skills and credentials, plus children’s school enrollment and attendance. Source: enrollment & school records.
Financial Stability
Emergency savings built and credit repaired or established. Source: financial-coaching records and, with consent, credit reports.
Mental & Behavioral Health
Reduced fear and improved wellbeing as survivors heal from trauma. Source: validated screeners — MOVERS, PHQ-9, GAD-7, WHO-5.
Permanent Housing
The transition to a permanent home of her own — and staying housed. Source: housing records and 6- & 12-month follow-up.
Family Stability
Stronger, safer families and children who are thriving alongside their mothers. Source: caregiver reports & school records.
Our Targets at Full Capacity
The Numbers We’re Building To Reach
We state our scale in five distinct measures, which are not interchangeable: physical capacity — 35 homes at full build-out, 15 at opening; households in residence — about 32 at any one time; individuals in residence — about 97 at any one time; households completing the program — about 32 to 48 in a stabilized year; and individuals served — about 95 to 145 in a stabilized year. The targets below are the goals we will report against every year.
35
homes at full build-out — 15 at opening
95–145
individuals served each year
8–12 mo
average length of stay
85%+

85%+

75%+

80%+

Board-set targets, adopted by resolution of our Board of Directors. They are start-up projections, are not externally validated, and actual results will be published every year once the Village is in operation.
How We Collect & Report
Measurement is built into the program from day one — not added on at the end.
- Intake assessment the day she arrives, establishing a baseline and an individualized plan.
- Ongoing case-management records tracking progress against each resident’s goals.
- Validated screening tools — MOVERS (safety), PHQ-9 and GAD-7 (depression and anxiety), and WHO-5 (wellbeing).
- Program-completion and employment data, plus resident satisfaction surveys.
- Follow-up at 6 and 12 months after graduation to confirm outcomes hold over time.
Targets are set annually by our board, reported regularly to funders and partners, and used to continuously improve services. We are pre-launch — this is the framework we’ve built and will begin measuring the day the Village opens, publishing results every year thereafter.
